Hello and thank you for clicking on this link, my name is Moonglo and I am the owner of Chatsville.
I wanted you all to know why I created this site, the ethos
of the site and the way I would like to see it
move forward. I was a
member of a chat site which was friendly and well run until it closed twelve
months
ago and, since that
time, I, along with friends I keep in touch with from the site, have trawled
the net
looking for something
similar. Alas, all I found were sites with ;-
No moderators, or moderators who
chatted only in cliques, and forgot to welcome strangers
Sites where, before I had a chance to say hello, I was
bombarded with private chat request windows
Sites where bad language and sex talk were commonplace with
no respect shown to anyone
I am aware that I did not visit every site on the net but,
after visiting quite a few without finding anything or
anywhere to suit my
way of chatting, I decided there were only two courses of action left.. Stop
looking or
build my own
site.... Chatsville
was born. I reasoned that the amounts of money I was spending would
show me that there
were other people on the net who wanted the same as my friends and I wanted. A
clean, well run, moderated
chat site, where people could meet and have fun with lots of innuendo,
without
the swearing and
vulgarity, with the opportunity to make friends with people from around the
world.
I kept the rules as simple and common sense as I could. I
laid down the three strike policy so that
everyone who comes to chatsville will know exactly where they stand in relation
to unacceptable
behaviour. All monies spent building Chatsville
came from my pocket and it was a labour of love,
I just hope it is as welcoming and as fun as I
dreamed it could and should be. Last but by no means
least; I would like to thank my friends
Chiara (head administrator) Flame (training administrator
headmistress) and Ghost (administrator server maintenance.) Without them I
could not have
opened the doors to Chatsville. A special thank you to Literider
(Head Moderator) for being a
valuable part of Chatsville from day one. As we grow, we will need to recruit more
moderators from our membership and my hope is that our members will be
as proud to be a part
of chatsville as I was in creating it...
